Yuntai Garden 云台花园 – Guangzhou, China

Most girls like flowers, but I do not. You might wonder why. Although I look somewhat feminine, I do not really like girl's things, including flowers unless someone special gives them to me.. hehe.. However, my visit to Yuntai Garden has changed my perspectives about flowers and given me deep impression.
During my stay in Guangzhou, I visited many tourist places, including gardens. Guangzhou is a city of flowers where gardens become most popular spot for people to relax. Although there are many gardens in Guangzhou, there is only one most beautiful garden that has won my heart, called Yuntai garden.

After descending from Baiyun mountain, we went straight to the park located next to it, which is Yuntai Garden. The admission ticket was 8 Yuan for they gave discounts for students. Standing at the entrance of the park, I was astonished by the majestic view of the garden. It was very beautiful. Though the sun shone very brightly, I was just very excited to explore the park, while my male friends preferred to stay near the entrance gate relaxing after a tiring journey from Baiyun mountain.

Situated at the north entry of Baiyun Mountain with a total area of 120.000 square meters, Yuntai Garden becomes the largest park of its kind in Guangzhou. It is nominated as “the Pearl of the Flower City of Guangzhou.” The name indeed matches its beauty. The garden has unique structure and layout, including Roman Column and over 200 kinds of rare Chinese and foreign flowers. The garden is indeed a modern garden with beautiful natural scenery possessing rich artistic features including Chinese and Western style structures, both ancient and modern.
The garden was opened for public on September 28 1995 and it possesses 14 scenic spots. It was named Yuntai not only because it is located at the back of Baiyun mountain, but because it has four seasons luxury flowers from both local and abroad, making it the largest landscaped garden with ornamental exotic plants and flowers. The garden usually has various thematic flowers shows that attract many people. Since its first opening, the garden was visited by several party and state leaders, thus giving it a good reputation in China and overseas.
The park is very beautiful that you could only feel its beauty if you visit it. Pictures and words are not enough to express it. Inside the garden, flowers of various colors, types and shapes are arranged in such a way forming beautiful shapes.
Below is the route that I took when exploring the park.

I just looked at the building from the outside but did not enter. I guessed this treasury courtyard offers children opportunities to engage in various games.

It was almost 5 pm, and we were all overtired. After exploring the park though not entirely, starting from the left side of the garden going on with a half-circle direction and ending at the right side of the garden, we finally ended our journey and walked to the exit gate.  I have never visited such a beautiful garden like Yuntai garden. Its beauty will not vanish forever from my memory. If you plan to come to Guangzhou, I highly recommend you to visit this beautiful garden so that you can bring an unforgettable story worth to share with your relatives and friends once you get home.
